This authentic gumbo combines the rich flavors of Louisana's Creole cuisine. I start with a dark and flavorful roux, crafted slowly until it transforms into a rich, nutty mixture. To this, I add a medley of vegetables, including the "holy trinity" of Creole cuisine—onions, bell peppers, and celery—along with garlic, tomatoes, andouille sausage, chicken and okra. These ingredients blend harmoniously, infusing the gumbo with layers of complex flavors. To finish, I add a generous portion of plump Gulf shrimp. The cooked rice is packaged separately.
